I don´t know why a band is calling itself New Look? Maybe it´s just because the two members Sarah Ruba and Adam Pavao are some kind of Model-Brooklyn-IT-Hipsters, that are just perfect for showing up in your next month Style Magazines. But besides all that eye candy they could also name theirself Fantastic Future Pop Duo and get the main act for my next party if I will ever have my next first one! SoSo I just crushed on the 2 Canadians and their New Look, this time musical wise. Check out their MySpace for songs and of course Pics. “Everything” is my song. Choose yourself another favourite! Ohh. I hope I will be in Brooklyn early October. So if you New Lookys read this post, I´ll come to visit you for an interview and a solo performance concert! Aight?

I´m so looking forward finishing my final exams and do all the things that have to been done in the summer. And i will buy a tight trunk of course. Ciao Bella!

It´s Fusion time again and if you don´t know the festival by now you should cancel all your Inner-City dates and go,bike,ride,drive,swim to wonderful Müritz-Land. Fusion Festival is something like the answer to all the commercial sponsored big names festival. You can go there, bring your drinks and dive into a fantasy park where everything is just a little bit next to normal. Fusion starts on Thursday and goes till Sunday. The Line-Up is big and as every year I don´t know many names of the DJ´s, Bands, VJ´s, Artists, Poets and Clowns. If you trust the Orga in that point and if you are a little bit open for music you will have a wonderful time. C.U. There!

 
I love to rediscover old songs for me. This time I just watched the great Lucky Number Sleven movie where Wendy Rene´s “After Laughter” song hijacked me back to the XX´s. And I´m not the only one who got inspired by this young now old lady. After Wu-Tang and Alica now Scandinavian darling Lykke Li is riding on the wave. And I think they are making some good turns. He worked there for almost ten years before his boss decided to fire him because of a new lcd-screen. Ever since that time he lives on the streets of berlin and he hangs around with two other guys. Now he is bored!!!”

Actually I don´t want to be this blog a once more music blog. But since music is a big thing in my live I don´t come arround to tell you guys on which rockets are taking off right now. It seems once more that the Cape Canaveral of music is in Brooklyn these times. After our so beloved Yeasayers, Telepathe and many more Chairlift catched me and if you meet me I`m probably singing one of their songs. SoSo I was very excited to see them playing last sunday at Maschinenhaus here in Berlin. The concert was something like a privat session. Just arround 50 people came to see their show. I think that their indie-pop-folk-something music didn´t arrived yet in germany. It also doesn´t create a special szene like NuRave or Techno or HipHop. Chairlift is not a party. In my opinion it is a grown-up, wonderful music, deep and energetic. You can shut your mouth for a while and just absorb this very special atmosphere. Ohh and their new album Does you inspire you is out right now. Love it.

Since I´m back in Berlin I need to refill my ITunes with some fresh music. I handle that thing in 3 ways. First I imported a couple of Mags from London. Those I scan for new bands. When I find something interesting I google, myspace and youtube it. And yes, sometimes I use this nice little tool to take a closer hear at the songs. I keep you guys updated in which pearls I found. But first I crushed on the video above. And since the bands name is Berlin, it´s a perfect Comeback for me to this beatiful town.

Yeah. Do you know these times when you are  in that winter is finally over mood? Right now I am totally into this sunshine, cycling and open air feeling. And as i forgot my MP3 Player this morning I catched up this Old School Breakbeat Smasher while waiting for my S-Bahn. It reminds me on warm summer nights, former holidays and positive vibrations. Just right for the moment.
