I just came back from Keirin where I got a new brake because of the trouble of those guys. The shop was already crowded with international cycle messengers that came for tomorrow starting ECMC 2009. This is something like the european championship for messengers. We will definitely keep an eye on the game and let you know on whats going on there. I look forward to meet some messengers which I met in London before some weeks. And of course we will let you know about all the side events and partys. The first interesting thing for you cycle geeks is the Cycle Culture Film Fest, which is taking place at Eiszeit Kino. More later.
“The story is about the little monitor 702b, which was born in korea 1995. in the same year he moved to germany and got a job in a computer-company in berlin. He worked there for almost ten years before his boss decided to fire him because of a new lcd-screen. Ever since that time he lives on the streets of berlin and he hangs around with two other guys. Now he is bored!!!”
Actually I don´t want to be this blog a once more music blog. But since music is a big thing in my live I don´t come arround to tell you guys on which rockets are taking off right now. It seems once more that the Cape Canaveral of music is in Brooklyn these times. After our so beloved Yeasayers, Telepathe and many more Chairlift catched me and if you meet me I`m probably singing one of their songs. SoSo I was very excited to see them playing last sunday at Maschinenhaus here in Berlin. The concert was something like a privat session. Just arround 50 people came to see their show. I think that their indie-pop-folk-something music didn´t arrived yet in germany. It also doesn´t create a special szene like NuRave or Techno or HipHop. Chairlift is not a party. In my opinion it is a grown-up, wonderful music, deep and energetic. You can shut your mouth for a while and just absorb this very special atmosphere. Ohh and their new album Does you inspire you is out right now. Love it.
Since I´m back in Berlin I need to refill my ITunes with some fresh music. I handle that thing in 3 ways. First I imported a couple of Mags from London. Those I scan for new bands. When I find something interesting I google, myspace and youtube it. And yes, sometimes I use this nice little tool to take a closer hear at the songs. I keep you guys updated in which pearls I found. But first I crushed on the video above. And since the bands name is Berlin, it´s a perfect Comeback for me to this beatiful town.
Okay I´m back from my little Europe exploration trip. I mean it was very little but therefor very intensive. After finishing my thesis I first headed down to Milano to join the guys from Bauhaus University at the Fuori Design Week. Thy had their own little shop where they showed in my opinion some of the cooler stuff compared to the other Designers. But maybe it was because the guys where so nice and we had a realy great time there. Check out their Designs here.
Afterwards I traveled over to London where I just hung out with my two buddys Alex and Martin. And what a lucky boy, Martin works as a messenger and both have their own little Fixie factory in their garage. SoSo i had the chance to ride arround LDN with these crazy guys all week and test their new bikes… Besides that it was always a little rocket ride and i had my problems with this fucking left-hand driving thing. But anyway it was the best way to explore the city, meet other messengers and save money for expensive tube rides… I did alot of pics wich I will update on the CLCT flickr account asap.
So far so good. I promise that since now I will update this thing more often and tell you some fresh stuff on whats going on right now… Cheers…
